Shoulder Conditions

“He who has health, has hope; and he who has hope, has everything.”

- Arabian proverb

Shoulder Conditions

Shoulder problems encompass a range of conditions affecting the complex and highly mobile shoulder region. These issues can arise from various causes, including trauma, overuse, or underlying medical conditions.   Common problems around the shoulder region include rotator cuff injuries which involves the small muscles and tendons around the joint, frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis), shoulder impingement syndrome (again involving the localised tendons and bursa), osteoarthritis and dislocation injuries. Symptoms often include pain, stiffness, and reduced range of motion leading to a reduction in your normal functional capacity. Treatment approaches vary, with conservative measures such as physical therapy, medication, and rest often used initially. Severe cases may require surgical intervention, including arthroscopic procedures or joint replacement.
